My biggest passion seems to involve handbags. With a collection of bags growing by the day, I figured this is the route for me to take for 2014.
When I married my husband, little did he know then what he was buying in to. Consolidating two households meant having to let go of some possessions. As a woman who lived single until her forties without a room mate, I managed to fill every nook and cranny with something. All closets were packed tightly. One of the things I told my husband that would be non-negotiable were my purses. He was unable to understand this until I pointed out to him that if weight is gained or lost, clothes won't fit properly. Purses, however, will always fit.
Heck, even shoes won't fit the same way with changes in weight. Not to mention that a pair of comfortable shoes upon purchase can soon become a misery after a day on the feet. And don't even get me started on any so-called sexy sandals. Sexy + shoe = pain.
Speaking of pain, I will be making a note to myself to avoid any future One Day Only Additional 50% off Permanently Marked Down Clearance sales on New Year's Day at Dillard's. I still have a headache after finding a coveted parking spot and spending 3 minutes in the store trying to get the hell out of there. Pardon my French, but it was a fucking mad house.
